About Us
Since its inception in 1993, Habitat for Humanity Regina has engaged thousands of volunteers, businesses and organizations to build over 50 homes.

In 2013, it is our goal to build 10 homes for hard-working, low-income families that are willing to partner with Habitat for Humanity Regina.

We are one of 72 Canadian affiliates and a member of Habitat for Humanity International, which has provided shelter for over 2 million people in 102 countries around the world.

Helping Families and Communities
Habitat for Humanity Regina partner families spend a maximum of 30% of their income on mortgage payments, as opposed to the 50-75% many were paying prior to home-ownership. As a family's financial situation improves their dependence on social services decreases, creating a better contribution to the community and local economy.

Adequate and affordable housing leads to improvements in health, education and emotional well being. In 2004, Habitat for Humanity Canada took part in a study sponsored by the Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation (CMHC) that interviewed 185 partner families. The findings demonstrated the benefits of the Habitat for Humanity program:

• 40.6% of families surveyed reported a marked increase in the school grades of their children
• 54.2% noticed an improvement in children's behavior
• 22.9% of the parents went back to school
• 34.1% of the income earners moved on to better jobs
• 36.1% were less reliant on social assistance and community services.
