Habitat for Humanity Regina kicked off the 2012 build season today recognizing all of the major sponsors and contributors for the eight homes that Habitat for Humanity Regina will build this year. Representatives from Miller Thomson LLP, Mosaic, FCC, Northridge Developments, Harmony Builders, RCMP Depot Division, PCL and the 100K in 100 Days participants and representatives from the TASCAP program were in attendance to celebrate the turning of sod on all of the properties.

 

The Honourable June Draude, the Minister of Social Services under which Saskatchewan Housing Corporation falls, spoke at the event and thanked the sponsors for their spirit of partnership in helping families achieve home-ownership. The Government of Saskatchewan has provided 4.5 million dollars across the province to contribute to ninety homes for hard-working, low-income families.

Homes to be built this year are located at 123 Rothwell Cresent, 861 Retallack Street, , 1203 Rae Street, 1214 Robinson Street, 1767 Toronto Street, 809 Cameron Street, 1409 Retallack Street and another undetermined address.
