The success of Habitat for Humanity Regina - Moose Jaw Chapter relies on the contributions of its many volunteers. Most people think of construction work or the ReStore when they think about volunteering for Habitat, but our need for volunteers goes well beyond that.
Want to help Habitat for Humanity Moose Jaw build affordable houses without wielding a hammer? We are seeking action-minded individuals to join our active and engaged committee!
Our committee performs an essential function for the organization and requires a diversity of skills, life experience, and viewpoints. We meet once a month (typically on the last Wednesday of the month) and we will be meeting via Zoom over the course of the next few months.
A few great reasons to join our committee:
1. You are a dynamic individual who strives to make a difference in your community while contributing to the progress of a truly great project.
2. Relationships/Networking – Joining this committee helps you build stronger relationships in Moose Jaw (and beyond).
3. Development – Committee participation leads to uncovering insights you can utilize in your professional and personal development.
4. Build a better resume - volunteer and committee work looks GREAT on a resume!
5. Experience – Experience how Habitat for Humanity works and the effort that goes into making the organization successful!
6. A chance for people to see you in action – show people in Moose Jaw how great you are!
Interested? Great! We'd love to hear from you. Please email email@example.com to discuss this exciting opportunity and find out what the next steps are to becoming part of our amazing team.

Habitat Moose Jaw is so excited to welcome Kathy and Carter into their new home!
Thank you to our many committee members, donors, supporters, and volunteers for helping to fulfill Kathy and Carter's homeownership dream.
Here is what Kathy shared about what this day means to her:
“Working 6 days a week, being away from Carter and spending my one day off doing all the mom duties we can’t avoid. It was hard on him that I was gone every Saturday, but Carter always has a way of looking on the bright side, and it doesn’t get any brighter than this! All those days, all the hours come down to this. I will get to spend my days with him, surrounded by the walls that I help build. I can chase him down the hall stepping on the floor that I helped lay. Play hide and seek and find him hiding under the stairs where the walls are filled with signatures of all the wonderful people that helped make my dream, our dream come true. Here it is. Today is the day. I get to take his hand, walk through that door and tell him “Welcome home”.”
