how the programs work

  1. Contact the Habitat Regina ReStore to see if your donation will qualify for one of our programs.
  2. Arrange for pick-up of your items. This service is provided free of charge. Please note that two (2) weeks notice is required to schedule your pick-up. In the case of the metal salvage program, the Habitat Regina ReStore will arrange for a salvage bin to be placed at the construction site.
  3. The Habitat Regina ReStore will go through the items and keep what it can sell.
  4. Habitat for Humanity Regina will issue a tax receipt for the items the Habitat Regina ReStore has kept for inventory.

program benefits

There are a number of benefits with your participation in our programs:

  • you save money on disposal fees and help the environment because your items are not going to the landfill
  • you receive a charitable tax receipt for the resale value of the items that the Habitat Regina ReStore can resell
  • if you are renovating, you will have more room in your budget because of the charitable tax receipt you receive
  • you know that your donation goes towards giving families in Regina a hand up to break the cycle of poverty through homeownership
