Genworth Meaning of Home Contest

Genworth Canada has been a partner of Habitat for Humanity Canada since 2000. For the last nine years, Genworth Canada presents the national Meaning of Home contest to illustrate, for children and their families, the importance of having a safe, decent and affordable place to live.

The Meaning of Home contest challenges youth in Grades 4 - 6 to write a short composition or poem that expresses what they "love" most about their home, with the winner receiving a $60,000 grant to be directed to their local Habitat affiliate. Habitat Regina has seen great support and has received runner-up prizes in 2013 and 2014. Thank you to all the students, teachers and parents who have joined us for this amazing contest.
