Providing families with the opportunity of homeownership is only possible when volunteers and community partners are leading the way in Saskatchewan. Just in time for the holidays, Habitat affiliates in Southern Saskatchewan were visited by some special elves! The Mosaic Company has generously donated $50,000 worth of tools and equipment to make building homes faster and easier. This year over 40 homes are being built in Saskatchewan. This contribution allows our teams of volunteers to work with new tools as they build homes from the ground up for hard-working, low- income families in Saskatoon, Moose Jaw, Regina, Weyburn and Yorkton.
The reason Habitat for Humanity began was to help families build a hopeful future. During the holiday season one can only look back and be thankful for the support and opportunity to create a brighter future for their family, “I don’t think I can put into words what it feels like to be able decorate your very own home for the first time,” said Megan, Habitat Regina Homeowner, “as a family, we’ve made a whole new set of traditions that we can’t wait to repeat each and every year.”
Thank you Mosaic for continuing to help build dreams, futures and homes that will become someone’s place to call their own. Making these dreams come true is an amazing thing to be a part of and we are happy to have you by our side as we dream big and work hard for the families we are committed to serve. Together, we are making dreams come true. One family at a time.
