Habitat for Humanity Regina exists because of the need for affordable housing in our community. We work to mobilize volunteers, organizations, corporations and the community to support homeownership opportunities for low income families. The Habitat program provides families in Regina the opportunity to purchase a home at fair-market value with an interest free, zero down-payment mortgage that is set at 25% of their gross annual income.
Habitat for Humanity Regina relies heavily on the support of the community in all aspects of our organization.
Volunteering is one of the very important ways you can have a hand in building a stronger and more self-reliant community.
Volunteer as a group, volunteer as an Individual, or donate your time through a 'Habitat Build Day' where your organization will have the team building experience of a lifetime while also supporting Habitat Regina with a financial contribution.
The Habitat for Humanity ReStore is a retail home store, providing great prices on items such as flooring, lighting, appliances, furniture, windows and doors, paint, landscaping supplies and more.
The ReStore receives donation of new and used inventory from local businesses and individuals. Those items are then sold at 50% below retail value to provide funding to Habitat for Humanity Regina.
The Habitat ReStore has a massive inventory of brand new items donated from businesses that have overstock or individuals that have left over building supplies.
With 2 weeks notice, ReStore provides free city wide pick up of donated items and runs a variety of programs to help you renovate, downsize, and purge.
In order to partner with Habitat Regina, families must participate in a thorough application process that starts with the following criteria:
